Focus: redesign a campus map for a certain region of ucsd campus
potentially: Muir (small area, complex layout, etc.)

Features:
continuous scrolling
ability to click on a building and a large photograph will be displayed
clicking on a parking lot and number and type of parking spots will be displayed
panoramic picture of specific buildings
...

Possiblities:
using google sketchup to create a 3-D rendering of a region of the ucsd campus

navdeep and whitney will not be in our group :(

Google Model your Campus competition

I saw this competition on the google website and thought it was pretty cool

interesting ideas

I was on the UC Berkeley interactive map website http://www.berkeley.edu/map/a-z/a.html
They have a couple good ideas.
such as reset button, full campus map button, alphabetical directory listing, building highlighting without obstruction, continuous scrolling.

Also, I think it would good if our redesigned interactive map would zoom from full campus map to the specific location continuously.
